Quantum physics and energy healing are related in ways that we are only now discovering.
Quantum physics recognises that we are made of energy particles.

Is it really such a stretch to fathom a way of channelling that energy from the universe around us to help heal physical, mental and emotional issues?… Well for many ancient people this was a well known and powerful way to heal.
Isn’t it incredible that vitamin D can be absorbed by our skin by the suns rays. Reiki is simply redirecting that powerful energy that powers plants into a person to heal them. Whether you believe in being vegan or vegetarian or you eat animals and meat products the fact is our source of energy ultimately comes from the sun. The sun goes into the plants which are then eaten by us directly or the animals . Either way our energy is ultimately derived from the suns natural effect on the earth. But there are other ways to get energy other than ingesting matter to access the suns energy.
My reiki teacher explained it as people being like waves and the ocean being the infinite expanse of consciousness. With Reiki the practitioner is tapping into the infinite energy that is everywhere and channelling it into the patient. People sometimes get caught up imagining they are the waves and believing they are entirely separate, this can cause many problems and lead to “dis-ease” either mental or physical. In truth we are all connected , everything is connected.
In simple terms reiki is tuning into the universal energy around us and being able to be a channel and conduit to focus that into somebody else. With that infinite power which is well-documented within the science community an enormous amount of healing can take place.
As the famous physicist Richard Feynman explained it: “one teacup of empty space contains enough energy to boil all the world’s oceans.” Reiki and Physics (iarp.org)
This power or what is referred to as the force in star wars is beyond the mind. This is why Zen Buddhists refer to it as no mind or not thought. When the mind is very still and quite the awareness or consciousness which is what we are made of is able to be free. As it is our true nature it has a magnificently and deep healing quality. You essentially remove the veil of illusion revealing the true nature of our pure awareness.
The energy of the universe, that awareness is the power that grows everything in nature and what gives life to what would otherwise be an inanimate piece of flesh. Understanding this is critical to recognize the underlying and integral part of what gives life to the physical and mental.
Wouldn’t it be wonderful if we had a way of tapping in to the universal energy that is all around us.
